Explore Da Nonna Iza Clervaux

Located in the heart of Clervaux at Da Nonna Iza Clervaux, this charming Italian restaurant offers a dining experience that strikes a delightful balance between elegance and comfort. From the moment you step inside, there’s a warm, family-oriented atmosphere that feels inviting rather than formal, with soft background music subtly enhancing the mood without overwhelming conversation. The menu leans into authentic Italian flavors, and it’s clear that care and attention go into every dish. Pizzas, in particular, stand out-arriving hot and aromatic, with rich notes of tomato, garlic, and fresh herbs that immediately capture attention. The Diavola, for example, is both satisfying and well-crafted, showcasing quality ingredients without unnecessary complexity. Beyond pizza, the restaurant also impresses with a diverse selection: starters like garlic scampi are flavorful and generous, while mains such as grilled salmon fillet or smoked salmon salad provide excellent alternatives for those seeking something lighter. There’s also a wide range of pasta dishes alongside an extensive drinks and wine list, ensuring there’s something for every taste. Despite its authentic Italian roots-where Italian is often spoken-the staff remain welcoming and accommodating to English-speaking guests, making the experience accessible and relaxed. Service is attentive and efficient, contributing to the overall sense that guests are genuinely cared for. The portions are notably generous, adding to the value and satisfaction of the meal, and the overall experience feels thoughtfully curated without being pretentious.

Da Nonna Iza manages that rare balance where you feel slightly fancy but still welcome enough to relax. I ordered the Diavola for 19€, and before it even hit the table, the smell of sauce, garlic, and basil was already doing most of the convincing. The kind of aroma that makes nearby tables quietly question their own order. The pizza itself delivered. Hot, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Nothing rushed, nothing lazy. Just honest ingredients doing their job well. There was subtle music in the background, enough to set the mood without stealing attention, and the overall atmosphere felt family-oriented, not stiff or pretentious. Italian is clearly the preferred language, which adds to the authenticity, but English is absolutely welcomed, making it easy and comfortable for everyone. Good food, great vibe, and a pizza that earns its price. I’d happily come back and probably won’t even look at the menu next time.

A really nice and cosy place to have an excellent meal during the day or late evening. From pizza to pasta, and even more, the service is close to perfection and the staff are lovely! A definite MUST-Visit when coming to Clervaux, besides all other attractions and expositions. To be recommended a %

I’m not an Italian food traditionalist (though this caters well for those who are) but we went back twice to this restaurant which is right in the middle of town. The garlic scampi as a starter is fantastic and the mains of grilled salmon fillet and smoked salmon salad also excellent. Lots of pasta and pizza also on the menu along with an extensive drinks and wine list. Service also excellent.

Very nice place to have a good and simple meal. Waiters were very friendly and they could sell their food. The descriptions they gave made you doubt your first choice. I can only recommend.
